Vent’anni by Aitor Pardo

Photographer Aitor Pardo @aitor_pardo worked with the gorgeous models Bernat @_bernatr and Kleyton @kleyton200 represented by Berta Models Management @bertamodels to create this amazing fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online!

As a photographer, Aitor Pardo has always appreciated the aesthetic in art and its sensibility. “I think fashion is a strong tool to express myself,” he states. “I mix my editorial projects with my advertising work at PrimaPic. I also lead Artidi centre, where I create synergies with other artists.”

The photographer likes to work with different teams, to transmit different points of view in their stories and come up with a great and varied shoot. “I like to play with the casting and our models’ acting skills,” he says. “I want to talk about youth and the new generations. They move around the new world with their own style and their rules. All this, linked to a strong dance inspiration.”

The team wanted to speak about Rudi Gernreich’s works and his colorful view in a crisis situation. “Nowadays we have to look for positive discourse, creativity, color and light.” The photographer used a Canon 6d mark ii with different lenses and equipment such as 70-200 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8 lenses, Profoto b10 Plus and Octa 120cm. And then the rest of the magic happened in post-production. The photos were shot in Artidi Studio, a space provided by the centre Aitor leads in Barcelona.

“It’s time to reinvent yourself. To start new projects. Moving around the advertising world, it’s time to work on something more creative and conceptual.”

“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

Leonard Cohen

The models are dressed by independent designers. “In Barcelona we have wonderful author designs. In Blend Showroom you can find very creative pieces from different designers around the world, from Madrid, Argentina, Africa, London, Italy, and Barcelona.

“The model has to feel comfortable with the team, that’s a priority. On the other hand, I always try to make it fun. They can play with the space, with the clothes… Some attitudes are reflected by my camera when the model feels relaxed only.”
