We all have one of those bags that are our trusted workhorses – whether the sprawling open tote or the battered gym duffle – that we schlep around on a daily basis, often solely for their capacity and functionality rather than their appearance.
But, as much as we proclaim our love for them, our relationships with these superhuman(?) objects, which have to tolerate everything from careless over-stuffing to rain, snow, sweat, coffee spillages or worse, tends to strain simply when their handles snap or the seams give away. In fact, more often than we would like to admit, we are actually seem to be glad to have gotten rid of these rather unattractive luggages.

Here at VTEEN, however, we believe that if it’s something that you’re likely to carry every day, frequently to more than just the workplace, your office bag deserves to be just as chic as their evening and/or casual counterparts, if not more. They must also be durable, organized, lightweight and spacious and I’m sure, by now you’re crying out in despair that such a bag is impossible to find.
Well, stop whining a already, because simply for your convenience, we have found the best bag that not only fits the bill of the perfect carryall, but also comes with a lot, LOT more to offer, albeit at a rather hefty price tag. So, without further ado, we present the Bottega Veneta Arco Tote from SSENSE.

Bottega Veneta Brown Arco Tote $7600 USD

This masterpiece is Daniel Lee’s masculine spin on his super popular Arco 33 bag and at 75cm, this version is huge and I mean HUGE! Crafted from Lee’s signature intrecciato weave out of durable but oh so supple buffed calfskin, this humongous tote stands stable on five gold tone “bumper” studs. That, however, is the only bit of hardware on this all-leather beauty, that’s lined with luxurious suede on the inside. Speaking of its interior, it’s got two patch pockets and a larger zip pocket to keep your smaller essentials secure, and thankfully, it’s got a fold-over flap top which is so much safer than an open tote but not inconvenient and “unglamorous” like a zip bag either.

What I love about this titanic tote is the fact that its shape is unique in comparison to most of its counterparts – it serves as a duffle, a tote, a shoulder bag or even a travel luggage and effortlessly graces each and every role it serves. In fact, its name, Arco, stands for “arch” in Italian, which the bag’s distinctive top handles remind one of. Plus, for you logo-loving millenials out there, it’s got the Bottega Veneta logo hot stamped at the bottom too, an interesting contrast to most of the brand’s previous offerings, but the logo isn’t too flashy either.
