Photographer Daniel Jae Oliva @bydanieljae presents this beautiful fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the model Zack Montgomery @zackmontgomery_ represented by Storm LA @storm_la.
“The most interesting part of the shoot was that there was no idea. The day before the shoot, Zack signed with Storm LA and his agent contacted me if it’s possible to schedule something the following day. Zack is from Ohio and was only in LA for a week. Luckily, I was free and was able to create something with Zack. Unplanned shots are very challenging though it is one of the things I enjoy tackling. It’s a challenge for the creator/photographer and the subject/model if they would be able to tell a story on the spot. Zack and I worked on it together by doing a quick chat regarding our backgrounds, what we do, and what we are passionate about and we both are definitely very pleased and excited about what we came up with,” says the photographer.
“This is Zack’s very first shoot, and as for someone that is new to modeling, he has shown so much potential and confidence in front of the camera, and that is because he has an acting background. It was something I wasn’t aware of when we first started until I asked him why does he move so confident and comfortable and that was when he told me of his acting background. He is well aware of where to look and definitely has given me different looks and expressions the entire shoot. I have enjoyed working with him and would love to shoot with him again.”
Zack was wearing different pieces from Topman, ASOS Design, Reclaimed Vintage, ZARA, Levi’s, Dockers, Murano, Batch Bay, and Natural work. The editorial was shot in Chino Hills, a beautiful city located about 35 miles east of Los Angeles.
