The Form by Mono

London-based photographer, videographer and all-round creative Mono @onetonemono presents this beautiful fahsion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the handsome model Jay @jmodels.01 represented by Named Models @namedmodels.

The photographer created this editorial following his personal style and as a tool for the model to showcase his talent and his passion for modeling. Keeping his minimalist approach with simple and clean backgrounds, the photographer worked with natural light and the shadows created with the model’s body, creating a combination of contrasts that look flawess.

They did this photohoot on a carp park rooftop using a Sony A7RIII with a 24-70 Zies lens, playing with the gray walls and the blue sky and creating amazing contrasts between the model and the simple backgrounds.

When asked about the vibes he wanted to transmit through these images he has created, the photographer states: “I don’t really think that deeply about my work. I ask myself two questions, is the picture cool and do I like the picture.” That is another way of seeing this amazing work, that just looks amazing.

The styling is also very simple to keep that minimalism the photographer likes. Jay only wears a black tee shirt, a pair of black jeans and Air Force sneakers. He looks gorgeous with these basic clothes because that way we focus all the attention on the model himself. He gives a confident vibe. “He was quiet, composed, very poise in his energy. He was every photographer’s dream, just easy to shoot,” says the photographer. We really love the result!
