Los Angeles-based photographer Adam Washington @adamjwash has worked with the gorgeous model and TikTok star Ryan Manick @rymanick, who is represented by Two Model Management @twomanagement for this amazing fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online!
Living in Los Angeles, it is sunny most of the year and so it is great for capturing a sunny lifestyle. The photographer wanted to portray some snapshots of what a typical afternoon of a teen living in Southern California looks like but seeing it through a retro aesthetic. This editorial has a very cool and relaxed atmosphere with chill vibes that we adore. A teenager just having fun and playing around, working out and feeling super sexy after the shower, and swimming, and having fun in the pool.
“Ryan is a chill and relaxed guy and so I asked what he usually does, and thus we have snippets of him working out, chilling by the poolside, and being a flirt. It turned out very well. We spent just two hours around the backyard and poolside shooting around,” says the talented photographer Adam Washington.
Shot using a Canon 5D MIII with a 24-105mm lens with just natural light, Ryan is wearing a very casual and simple but yet sexy array of clothes, with pieces from Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Calvin Klein, Old Navy, H&M, and Vans. This editorial reflects the photographer’s style as he’s a “summer child and so I enjoy shoots that have that sort of relaxed but fun mood,” as he says.
“California to me as a concept or as an idea always seems like endless optimism and endless opportunity – when people think of California they think of palm trees and blue skies and gorgeous sunsets and beaches and everything else.”
