pinqponq launched the Fall-Winter 2020 collection. Inspired by the growing alienation from nature in today’s society, it illustrates how to reconnect with nature even as an urbanite, fusing natural colors with clean silhouettes and technical features.
Human alienation from nature is an ongoing process that transforms not only our surroundings as compaction expands and events accelerate but also our internal natures as well. In our busy everyday lives, we easily become restless, overwrought, and disconnected. Disconnected from other people, from our work, from nature, and last but not least from ourselves. In the modern world, nature is something “out there”, separated from us, something we might visit over the weekend. But we have to remind ourselves that even while we are living in highly artificial environments, we all are inescapably part of nature. Step outside – outside your office, your pattern, your daily facade.
With this season’s color palette pinqponq translates the aesthetics of nature into its own design language. Calm and subtle colors like Cliff Beige and Raw Umber are featured besides more vivid colorways like Sunsand Apricot or Bush Green. Colors reminiscent of late summer evenings, when the setting sun touches nature with its warm light.
Made from 100% recycled PET bottles, the products are completely vegan and PFC free and are manufactured under the highest social requirements certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. By recycling more than 4 million PET-bottles over the years, pinqponq has not only reduced the amount of waste but saved hundreds of barrels of oil and thousands of tubs full of water, in comparison to conventional production processes.
pinqponq’s Fall-Winter 2020 Collection is available online and in selected stores.
