“I’ve been chatting with Oscar on Instagram after I saw a hilarious TikTok he made,” says photographer Ira Giorgetti, “and we thought it would be a good idea to organize a shoot at my studio one weekend. He’s really into fashion and always wanted to explore the possibility of modeling, it was his first proper shoot and he smashed it!” Even though it was his first professional photoshoot as a model, he did pretty amazingly! He looks stunning in every shot and he has potential for this.
The photographer and the model were going for both portraits and fashion shots, overall a very relaxed vibe, with a styling that consisted of high-end streetwear and contemporary brands making to create that clean and easygoing mood they were looking for.
For this photoshoot the photographer shot on both digital, using a Sony A9 and a 24-70mm f/2.8GM lens, and film using a Contax G2 with a Carl Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 lens and a Kodak Portra 400. They shot at the photographer’s home studio in Isleworth. “My own little shooting space, it’s great for one on ones and go-sees!” he says.
“I shot this fashion editorial with natural tones, very true to real life with some smiles mixed in. I love shooting intimate portraits that tell a little bit more about the model, which is why I featured the scar on Oscar’s shoulder.”
“If a window of opportunity appears, don’t pull down the shade.”Tom Peters
Giorgetti wanted to transmit a near-surreal white-space aesthetic on the digital shots mixed with some gorgeous tonality with the film scans. “We were just having a play around the space and capturing different kinds of shots to tie in together.” Oscar wears a combination of items from fantastic brands such as Palm Angels, Stone Island, Connolly England, Comme des Garçons, Calvin Klein, Jack&Jones, and Helmut Lang.
“It was the very first time Oscar modeled for a professional photographer, took a bit of coaxing to get him relaxed and out of his shell but his confidence built up quickly and we got some great shots! Hopefully the first of many collaborations with Oscar.”
