Fresh from a personal transformation, Jonathan Anderson graced the London stage with JW Anderson’s Spring 2024 prêt-à-porter collection for both men and women. Even the invite hinted at the spectacle to come, heralding Anderson’s dive into a ‘Play-Doh ‘-like fashion experiment.
The standout pieces, as anticipated, were the audacious “Play-Doh sweatshirt” and “Play-Doh shorts”, taking onlookers by surprise with their bold and pristine color blends. Not to be overshadowed, the “plastic bag” suit and “right-angle triangle” motorbike ensemble echoed Anderson’s singular take on tailoring and aesthetics. Other eye-catchers included cocoon-shaped garments with a “velvet” motif and billowing nylon Baggy pants.
