Pigalle has always belonged to a certain kind of youth — restless, magnetic, impossible to fully define.
The kind that turns ordinary streets into cinematic scenery without even trying.
That’s where Sunny appears.
Eighteen years old, French, and currently studying perfume in Versailles, Sunny carries the effortless ambiguity of someone suspended between different worlds. His name sounds fictional, almost too perfect for Paris, yet it’s entirely real.
Photographed moving through Pigalle’s side streets, cafés and neon corners, he embodies a generation less interested in performance than presence. Nothing feels overly constructed here. The energy is instinctive, spontaneous, almost accidental — closer to a street encounter than a traditional fashion editorial.
There’s a softness to him, but also something elusive. A face that feels equally connected to contemporary youth culture and to an older Parisian fantasy built from cinema, nightlife and art photography. It’s no surprise that Pierre et Gilles had already captured him before.
More than documenting style, this story captures a mood: young Paris in motion — intimate, unfinished and beautifully real.
