Photographer and Peruvian artist Fabrizio Ricciardi @_san.serif presents this beautiful black and white fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the new face 20-year-old model Jaime Martín Pérez @jaimemartin_16 represented by Mayve Models @mayvemodels.
“My main inspiration for this editorial is the inner discovery of a person. In this period that we have been at home due to the pandemic, it has taught us to value the important things in life and to learn to live differently, as well as being an opportunity to know ourselves and learn new virtues. On this occasion I wanted to narrate through photographs how a young man explores feelings and emotions through his bodily expressions in the empty spaces of his house,” says the photographer.
“I wanted to convey tenderness, joy, mischief and shyness.”
“The idea of this photography session is to show the versatility and corporal expression of a young man in these times of quarantine from his home, leaving his comfort zone a bit. In the moodboard we had acting references where you can see a person exploring their body, getting to know themselves and transmitting different sensations, as for the looks I wanted them to be casual to achieve greater ease.”
“Thanks to the spaces in the house, we came up with new ideas where we not only experimented with the location but also with the objects we had around us, achieving new unexpected results. My ultimate goal is to show that it is possible to make art despite the limitations we had in the pandemic.”
“Thanks to the ZOOM platform, I was able to connect with the model through my computer and her cell phone, so I managed to capture the images while communicating with him.”
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”Aristotle
The model is wearing various items from different brands like Calvin Klein, Pull & Bear and Zara from his own wardrobe. “At first he was somewhat shy as it was a new experience for him, but then over time he felt more confident, thanks to that I was able to get to know him more.”
