Raf Simons’ three-year tenure at DIOR is documented in a new book published by the fashion house. This is DIOR’s tradition, with this release being the sixth installment in the series, which chronicles all of the brand’s creative directors.
Raf Simons’ Impactful DIOR Era
Raf Simons took over DIOR from John Galliano in 2012, incorporating design features such as streamlined tailoring and the use of exotic materials into the traditional French fashion house.
A Comprehensive Look at Raf Simons’ DIOR Journey
This new book about Raf’s DIOR period spans 344 pages, was published by Assouline, and was written by fashion reporter Tim Blanks. It includes photographs taken by Laziz Hamani, Tim Walker, Paolo Roversi, Peter Lindbergh, Willy Vanderperre, and Sarah Moon. The book’s cover features a bright red jacket, inspired by the Bar Jacket launched by Raf in DIOR’s 2012 autumn haute couture series, described by WWD as “one of the most anticipated designer debuts.”
