Launched in 2020, in Paris, by Gabriel Figueiredo, the fashion brand De Pino @_de_pino now presents its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, exploring femininity and seduction in a free and surreal way. The naive craft is at the core of the brand, which is considered as a meeting between a couture aesthetic and a child’s drawing, resulting in a really unique way of seeing fashion.
Combining a wide range of recycled materials with embroidery, crochet and tailoring, the designer creates exaggerated silhouettes aimed at reinventing and exploring one’s gender identity, a very joyful moment.
“After browsing the online collections of several costume museums, I put together what would be my ideal archival collection. There is Cristobal Balenciaga, Madeleine Vionnet, John Galliano. Dresses from the Belle Époque and pieces from the Middle Ages. I want to talk about these clothes, the memories they evoke, and the passing of time.”
