DAVID NAMAN’s Spring/Summer Seventeen collections personifies a soft young demure — just like a fleur-de-lis, Italy’s national flower and home to David Naman.
Playing with the idea of rural urbanity, laid-back suits and crinkled casual blazers, a trend of the 70s is luring itself back onto the runways and streets. Something Johnny Boy from Mean Streets would wear, but also the boy next door — its the middle man between cool and geek, confident yet awkward, but overall seasonless style. Made with Italian dexterity highlights the youthfulness of the brand — coming in tender autumnal colours varying between a romantic maroon, cloudy violet, rustic gold and charcoal grey.
Introducing a bucolic city style in lightweight jackets, extra fine knits, printed bombers and newsboy shorts. Floral printed bowling shirts and geometrical shapes with chino-like trousers giving it that gentle summer movement. Massimiliano Bomba captures that essence in a short-film based on the collection with Timur Muharemovic; resembling a countryside innocence with his sun-set brown hair.
Through its classic tailoring and youthful clientele — the David Naman brand is the new classic.
The David Naman collection is available from January 23rd online and in-stores.
