Two weeks left to welcome 2021, and which better way to say goodbye to 2020 and start brand new than with a special concert featuring BTS, TXT, GFRIEND, NU’EST, ENHYPEN, plus more. The ”2021 New Year’s Eve Live presented by Weverse‘‘ is an online event that will be held on 31 Dec 2020, 9:30 PM KST (7:30 a.m. ET). This will be the first livestream concert to feature Big Hit label artists together in one major event.
The Line Up
The lineup includes BTS, GFRIEND, TXT, ENHYPEN, NU’EST, Lee Hyun, ,and Bumzu. The event will also include special stages by Halsey, Steve Aoki, and Lauv, who have previously collaborated with BTS. Former I-LAND contestant Hanbin will be the pre-opening act of the event.
The event will also host a special event titled ”Connect Stage”, which is a tribute to late artist Shin Hae Chul, known for being a pioneer in the experimental South Korean rock music and for inspiring and supporting younger generations. The tribute will consist of an hologram of the late artist through the use of artificial intelligence and hologram technology along with Big Hit artists performing some of its songs like ”To You” and ”What Do You Really Want?”, being the latter the first time to be ever performed since it was left unfinished by the late artist.
