Photographer Tim Gerges @timgerges and creative director Ky Bxshxff @kybxshxff join forces to present this fascinating fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the models Christine Gregory @deedeenotdexter represented by ICE Models Cape Town @icemodelscpt and Cam McMillan @justcamnineteen represented by Fanjam Management @fanjam_management.
When asked about the inspiration for this editorial, the creative director told us: “I am fascinated by the pandemic’s impact on how we dress. Since 2020, as a society, we’ve had a complicated relationship with office attire in today’s work-from-home climate. We have also needed to navigate new challenges in our social dynamics.”
“I am interested in the story of a couple, dealing with the stresses of modern living, particularly in light of the global pandemic – how they’ve had to deconstruct and reconstruct their lives, similarly to how we are playing around with deconstructing and reconstructing what we define as the ‘work uniform’.”
“My style has not forgotten the power of play. I play around – through deconstruction and reimagining – to look at things in new ways.”

The equipment used was a medium format digital Hasselblad and a beauty dish, and the editorial was shot at milck.studios in Cape Town, South Africa. The message the team wanted to transmit through these images is that the rules exist only to be broken through evolution and deconstruction.
