Native New Yorker, award-winning and internationally published fashion, portrait, and celebrity photographer and creative director currently based in New York City Nicole Wilson @nicolewilsonphoto presents Before The Summer Ends, a fashion editorial exclusively created for Vanity Teen online with the model Tyler Hogan @official_ty_hogan represented by Marilyn Agency @marilynagencyny, and STORM LA @storm_la.

The photographer designed the photoshoot around the young model she was working with, Tyler Hogan. The theme of the shoot was really to capture that duality in him and his beauty, “which at certain angles is both angelic and ethereal, and at others, he feels very much like a wild man”, as well as the nostalgia of the end of summer.

“The visual concept of the shoot was to tell a story of a boy at the beach toward’s the summer’s end. Playing in the sand and surf, as well as enjoying the carnival and boardwalk as so many of us have in our teens and twenties. There’s always this feeling when the summer’s coming to a close where you just want to savor those last flavors and abandon the season before school and responsibilities roll around in the fall,” says Nicole Wilson.

The equipment used to create this fashion editorial was a Canon R5, RF 28-70mm lenses, and an EF 35 1.4 with an adaptor, and it was shot at the famous Coney Island Boardwalk, Luna Park, and of course the beach.

The model is wearing amazing pieces from Gucci, ZARA Man, Mr. Porter, Balmain, R13, Vans, and PRADA. The model is playful and free as a model, and not afraid to go deep when it comes to capturing those vulnerable moments on camera. “Not every model has an easy time going there, particularly young models, and yet Tyler’s brave and willing,” says the photographer. “I would say that Tyler has a natural confidence and self-assuredness in himself and his craft as a model. All this makes him a photographer’s dream and I look forward to our next shoot!”
