This last weekend was the 80th anniversary of the worldwide famous DC comics’ character Batman. To celebrate the Dark Knight’s birthday, big cities around the planet dedicated one night to the hero, displaying the Bat-signal, used by Commissioner Gordon in the comics to call the Caped Crusader when he is needed in Gotham City, on Saturday.

Cities like New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Melbourne, Barcelona, Montreal, Rome, among others weren’t the only ones honoring our hero, fans gathered in places where the Bat-signal could be seen, dressed as not only Batman himself, but also other characters like all versions of Robin, Night wing, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Batwoman, Catwoman, Bane and many more.

There were a lot of Batman-themed events around the world, including meetings with some of the most famous authors, autographs, concerts, and conventions, but the one that is elevating the hype to the clouds is the September update for the popular game “Fortnite”.

In honor of Batman Day, Fortnite released a trailer for its crossover with the superhero, showing Batman and Catwoman gliding through Gotham City, and though the trailer was just 25 seconds long, it showed two new skins (color and effects variants for the character’s model) for Batman and new weapons.

Data miners and hackers found that several Batman-related items will be included in the game, such as a Batcape glider, several skins and new emotes to make the game even funnier.
Epic Games, Inc. will also be offering six Batman games for free on its online store, including the epic Arkham Trilogy (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight) as well as three LEGO Batman titles to have a great time.
This event follows other pop culture crossovers of Fortnite with big titles like Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and John Wick.
