The brand AMAO
We are a small start-up brand, ran by two close friends. Our initial concept was to create practical and refined essentials that consider the fluidity of gender. From personal experience, we are aware that many brands utilize stereotypical iconography when targeting the LGBTQIA+ community, which we do not believe to be progressive.
Our launch campaign aimed to snatch the attention of audiences whilst asserting our views on sexuality. We also took this opportunity to explore masculinity through themes of homo-erotica within the satirical setting of a courtroom. It was imperative to us that we curated our content in collaboration with creatives within the LGBTQIA+ community, to ensure authenticity whilst offering support in uncertain times.
