Downtown empties out fast once the sun drops behind the towers. What’s left is brick, chain-link, a parked vintage sedan, and the long steel bridges that cross the river. We picked the Arts District for exactly that emptiness: no crowds to work around, just concrete holding the day’s heat and light coming in low and hard off the buildings to the west.
This story was shot in one evening, chasing that last window before dark, when every surface out there turns the color of an old photograph and the shadows go blue and sharp enough to cut. We moved fast between spots – a doorway, a tunnel, a bridge – dressed down between takes, dressed u the last frame as the light finally gave out.
