For Fall-Winter 2026, Javier Guijarro dives deep into the terrain of uncertainty, translating it into a forest-bound narrative inspired by Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Monster. The collection channels the fragile, intimate connection between the film’s young protagonists, imagining the forest as both refuge and space of transformation. Here, identity is untethered from judgment, shaped by instinct, intimacy, and metamorphosis — a perfect mirror for Guijarro’s ongoing exploration of the self through fashion.
The designer’s signature reinterpretation of the classic wardrobe remains at the core: checked fabrics, structured coats, silk, leather, and wool now meet waxed textures, waterproof finishes, and functional outerwear cues. Rural codes collide with contemporary construction, creating a sensibility that feels both lived-in and tactile. Threads hang as if caught on branches, a subtle nod to the atelier meeting nature. Animated echoes from Over the Garden Wall add a whimsical, surreal dimension, guiding the collection through growth, adventure, and emotional transition.
Footwear takes an unexpected yet conceptually precise turn: Converse Chucks reimagined with new textures, coexisting alongside the pure, unaltered Chuck Taylor LO. A cinematic reference comes to life, embedding storytelling in every step.
This is the fourteenth collection featured in our On Our Radar, Special Edition FW26 in Paris — a vivid reminder that the forest is not just a backdrop, but a space where fashion and identity intertwine.
