Camiel Fortgens unveils the FW26 collection during Paris Fashion Week, presented on the official FHCM calendar.
The collection was revealed within an intimate Parisian apartment allowing a unique and personal setting for observation.
Camiel Fortgens FW26 looked at furniture and functional objects for inspiration and transformed them into wearable forms, continuing the brand’s long-standing fascination with functional objects, and signs of use – drawing inspiration from navigating between daily urban life and rugged terrain.
Textiles usually found in the home – arrochar wools, jacquards, and worn leathers – are reinterpreted for the body. Curtain-like pleats become skirts, couch leathers inspire jackets, faded cushions are reworked into bags, and upholstery references appear throughout the collection in unexpected, slightly off ways – all in a palette of mud browns, washed greys, and earthy greens.
Key pieces include pleated skirts derived from curtain constructions, leather jackets referencing aged furniture, and layered elements designed to be worn together or independently. Archetypal-inspired yet resolutely contemporary, AW26 reflects Camiel Fortgens’ ongoing exploration of function, wear, and transformation — where interior worlds quietly reshape the exterior form.
