The editorial “Autumn Heat” for Vanity Teen blends classic men’s autumn fashion with youthful city vibes. Photographer Steven Kohlstock and stylist Maya Mae Adam crafted a narrative celebrating the season, using bold color combinations like red, black, and beige to create a striking symbiosis.
Kohlstock utilized a Sony Alpha camera with a GM 24-70mm lens, chosen for its flexibility and high-quality output. The shoot was staged in a minimalist white studio to avoid distractions, letting the vibrant styling take center stage.
Artistic inspiration stemmed from London street style and Berlin nightlife, infusing the imagery with urban sophistication. Post-production was intentionally minimal, with Kohlstock maintaining the soft lighting created during the shoot to preserve authenticity.
Collaboration was key to this project. Maya’s styling brought a subtle twist of sensuality, while Louisa Models expertly cast the talents: Marvin, Max, Hannes, and Baba Touray. Hair and makeup artist Daniela Uribe Pérez completed the look, enhancing the editorial’s refined yet edgy appeal.
This project showcases the seamless integration of vision, technique, and teamwork, delivering a cohesive and visually compelling homage to autumn.
