The Dior Summer 2024 Men’s Collection, crafted under the creative direction of Kim Jones, introduces an eye-catching range of sneakers, the B9SS. These sneakers represent a unique blend of Dior’s iconic fashion codes and the skateboarding culture that inspires Jones. Available in six distinct versions, each pair of B9SS sneakers exudes its own unique style and allure. These sneakers are open for pre-order from January 23 to February 7, 2024, in the United States, China, and Europe, exclusively on dior.com.
The B9SS sneakers are a testament to Dior’s fashion sensibilities, prominently featuring the emblematic cannage pattern. This pattern adorns the leather or satin models in shades of gray, beige, and a striking neon yellow. Notably, the neon yellow version is a special edition available only on the Dior website. The other three versions, crafted from tweed, are embellished with the charming D, I, O, R letters in a sophisticated signature style. Additionally, the B9SS sneakers pay tribute to another iconic Dior symbol, the Dior Oblique motif, conceived by Marc Bohan in 1967, which graces the laces of the shoes.
Pushing the boundaries of innovation, the B9SS sneakers come with a digital product passport. This includes a certificate of authenticity, accessible via a private platform linked to an NFC chip embedded in the sole of each right shoe. This exclusive digital space provides detailed information on the manufacturing process and offers previews of future sneaker launches by Kim Jones. Through this collection, Dior continues to demonstrate its inventive spirit, embracing new technologies and collaborative intelligence in fashion design.
