Unveiled at this year’s Paris Fashion Week, Milan-based streetwear label PDF has released its Spring/Summer 2024 “Sophomore” collection. PDF, under the helm of Domenico Formichetti, marries vintage aesthetics and extreme sports through a playful lens to create unconventional streetwear pieces.

For the “Sophomore” collection, Formichetti delved into a diverse set of high-school cliques and personas from his youth, translating those distinct characters into unique streetwear designs. He painted a picture of his ideal group of classmates by blending their traits and qualities into a vibrant ensemble of streetwear.
Formichetti’s Creative Journey: Inspired by High School Movies
Growing up, Formichetti found himself captivated by the diverse individuals and unique styles portrayed in high-school movies. This fascination ultimately guided his creative journey as he sought to reinterpret and incorporate these diverse high-school personalities into his “Sophomore” collection. The result is an eclectic mix of streetwear pieces that pay tribute to Formichetti’s ideal high school crowd.
