Photographer Matthieu Dortomb @mattdortomb, who just did a beauty campaign for Lancôme with the French muse, has created this beautiful fashion editorial exclusively for Vanity Teen online with the gorgeous model Nathan Legendre @nath.lgdr13 represented by New Madison Paris @newmadisonmodels.
Nathan is a new face model from New Madison Agency in Paris, who has worked for Jacquemus and recently for Blue Marble, and now stars in this fashion editorial. The photographer wanted to transmit a spirit of peacefulness, sun and travel, very much needed things in this period of lockdown. He states “I needed to breathe even if it is only possible through images.” He used a Nikon D800e and 2 cameras polaroid 600 and a Fuji Instax.
This story was photographed at the phootgraper’s home studio located in the Montmartre district in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, famous thanks to the film “Amelie Poulain” by Jean Pierre Jeunet. The photographer also took care of the styling this time, who said that “sometimes it’s funny,” and used an array of clothes from Adidas, Asics, Obey and vintage pieces from Episode Paris.
“I like to go to the second hand and vintage store like Episode Paris and Kiliwatch and I mix whatever I find with current pieces. When I went there I found the scarf of Martinique with the palm trees which serves as a background for the portrait images. Then mixed I mixed pieces with other vintage pieces on the theme of travel as the shirt with the world map and planes and more sporty clothes to bring modernity : Adidas, Asics, Obey, Nike.
I love mixing vintage and current collections.”
There was a very good atmosphere on the shooting, and Nathan is very photogenic and very smiling. The editorial turned our so perfectly!
