Set decades after the original “28 Days Later”, the film portrays a society on the brink of collapse, where survivors struggle to rebuild life amidst a near-primitive world. A small group resides on a guarded island, connected to the mainland by a single fortified road. Tasked with leaving the island, the protagonist uncovers miracles, dark secrets, and terrifying challenges. The zombies now exhibit a frightening evolution, becoming stronger and able to hide among survivors.
Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Comer, and Cillian Murphy, the film marks the first in a planned trilogy. It premieres on June 18, 2025, in Taiwan and June 20 in the United States.
