The “Summer ’23 Fanzine” captures the essence of Bottega Veneta‘s collective spirit and showcases the creativity of its Creative Director, Matthieu Blazy. This collection of images is a nostalgic look back at Blazy’s admiration for iconic supermodel Kate Moss and the personal significance she held for him during his teenage years.
Within the pages of this publication, Blazy shares his deep admiration for Moss, who was the subject of his first Google search and the first image he ever printed at home. Searching for photos of Kate Moss became a pastime for Blazy and a form of self-education.

The fanzine is a curated selection of collages and photographs that Blazy collected during his adolescence, serving as a tribute to Kate Moss and the notebook pages that defined his personal growth and admiration for her. The house of Bottega Veneta notes, “Collective vision has been at the core of Bottega Veneta since being founded in 1966. These books nod to this collective spirit and the history of Bottega Veneta.”
Designed as a fanzine, the book features a series of photographs of the model, replicating the scrapbooks Blazy crafted during his teenage years. The playful design is described by the house as an invitation “into the world of Bottega Veneta and to embrace a childlike sense of wonder.” Blazy, who became the creative director in 2021, reminisces, “Whenever I hear a modem, I think of Kate because I mainly looked for her pictures as a teenager. It’s a sound I will forever relate to her. She became a personal icon.”

Blazy reflects on how this hobby evolved into a form of education, saying, “This fanzine is a tribute to Kate and the pages of a binder that defined my coming of age. She was my first.” The “Summer ’23 Fanzine” is a heartfelt homage to the iconic Kate Moss and a celebration of Bottega Veneta’s enduring collective spirit.
