Dongjoon Lim presents POST ARCHIVE FACTION’S (PAF) FW26 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Titled “Drifter”, the collection reflects a state of constant movement and transition. It explores drifting as a condition between past and future, where archives evolve and new classics emerge.
How long will this drift last?
It feels like it will last as long as I live. It is not about being lost, or not knowing where to go. Somehow, it feels good. I feel I have no home. I feel I have no roots.
Where did I begin? Where are we supposed to go?
For now, I’ll follow the unforeseeable current and drift a little further.
We worked hard on this collection.
As always.
I still work with a student’s mindset.
There is still a long way ahead.
I never liked classical music as a child.
Maybe the first impression ruined it.
When I was six, I learned piano for music class while my parents were at work.
When I was thirteen, if I couldn’t memorize ten classical pieces, I got a smack for each piece.
POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) often uses classical music.
It feels like it shouldn’t fit, which is why it does.
Beauty and boredom arrive at once.
I want to make a New Classic.
The history of clothing is the story of sportswear evolving.
What we call “classic” now was once closer to practical sportswear.
Archive evolves—drifting through time.
Post-Archive will become an archive.
New archives will come. Endlessly.” – Dongjoon Lim
