Fendi Fw’22: Old-World Glamour Meets New Tech

No doubt returning to physical shows is something many have longed for, but beyond this thrill, returning also means a renewed return of our wardrobe, a style of pieces adapted to what the brand has dubbed “the wild 20s”.

For this season, Silvia Venturini Fendi presented a collection in which the brand’s style codes were re-energized for these modern times, for the neodandy. Contemporary menswear looks with a touch of old-world elegance mixed with a playful and modern formality.

Adapted to today’s modern times, where you can’t talk without mentioning the metaverse, web3, and with technology as an essential part of our daily lives, the Italian brand made the virtual visible, blending technology and style by introducing a set of tech accessories, its first cryptocurrency wallet made in collaboration with global digital asset management platform Ledger. Keeping the old-meets-new glamour with technology, the collection showcased scaled-down versions of the brand’s signature Baguette and O’Lock motifs, rendered in lightweight aluminum with a modern high-shine finish.

Dolce & Gabbana:  A New Meta-Infunsed #DGDNA

A show that mixed everything: music, fashion, metaverse, and emotion. Dolce & Gabbana’s FW’22 collection show was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the second day of MFW and how could it not be when it featured, as musician and model, Machine Gun Kelly, who along with his now-fiancée Megan Fox was the talk of the moment earlier this week.

The collection, according to the designers, was a tribute to “two universes that coexist”: the metaverse and music. Bringing these concepts to the catwalk, the pieces showed different proportions and geometry than their previous collections. The pieces were sharper and with a range of colors, shapes, patterns that reflected, in a certain way, the taste of the new generations: youthful, with contemporary touches of punk, rock, dance, club, androgyny. Some pieces included the customization of the art of Rocco Pezzella, a.k.a. Boche.
