Redesigning United’s Iconic Stripes Manchester United and Adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE +0.99%) have just launched their new away jersey for the 2023/24 season. The design revives United’s iconic vertical stripes, last seen on the Red Devils two decades ago.
Nostalgic Inspirations Drawing inspiration from United’s early away strips, this new version introduces a fresh take on the classic green colorway. Maroon-red lines enhance the design, juxtaposed against white blocks that echo the distinctive red bricks and industrial architecture of Manchester.
Representing Manchester’s Urban Landscape The “Night Green” base is a nod to the urban landscape that Manchester is famous for, providing a subdued canvas for the silhouette’s white ribbed crew-neck collar.
Advanced Jersey Technology Available in on-field and replica versions, the former integrates HEAT.RDY technology to ensure that United’s players remain cool and comfortable on the field. The latter features AEROREADY technology, designed to keep the body feeling dry and comfortable.
A Nod to the Club’s Heritage An Adidas spokesperson, commenting on the jersey’s release, said, “We’re incredibly excited to return to a design that is fundamental to the heritage of this great club.
