Art Month is in full swing in Hong Kong, and Louis Vuitton is making waves at Art Basel with a striking new chapter in its legendary collaboration with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
Taking center stage at a dedicated booth, visitors are invited to step into Murakami’s kaleidoscopic world, filled with multidisciplinary works spanning sculptures, paintings from various eras, textiles, and an exclusive look at his past collaborations with Louis Vuitton. The booth itself is an artwork—designed as a giant metallic Louis Vuitton trunk, lined with vibrant lime-green fabric and adorned with Murakami’s signature playful motifs.
Hong Kong’s top stars, including Karena Lam, Fish Liew, and Jeffrey Ngai, were among the special guests who stopped by to experience the immersive space and meet the iconic artist himself. With Murakami’s beloved smiling flowers and pop-art aesthetics once again blending seamlessly with Louis Vuitton’s luxury craftsmanship, this showcase is an unmissable highlight of Art Basel, bringing together fashion, art, and culture in a visually spectacular fusion.
