The iconic cabaret isn’t slowing down – and won’t for another 10 days. The club we miss even though we haven’t been yet.
Throughout the summer, Lío Club welcomed a series of residencies that gave each night its own identity, bringing different sounds, artists and energy to the dance floor. Recently, Gigi Goode took over Lío Ibiza, bringing her performance and unapologetic glamour to the stage. Many will know her from RuPaul’s Drag Race, but her world has long stretched beyond the screen. Now based in Paris, she is moving further into fashion, the stage and nightlife, and recently appeared in Jean Paul Gaultier’s La Favorite campaign.
Britney’s “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” is already 24 years old – let that sink in – but Goode’s take on the iconic track proves it still hits. Her commanding stage presence made the perfect match for it.
Pol Chamorro, Creative Director of Lío Ibiza, collaborated on the show, creating a dialogue between Goode’s avant-garde sensibility and the club’s signature cabaret spectacle. The night also brought together some of Ibiza’s creative scene, including Miranda Makaroff, Carla Guetta, Carla Molina, Eliot Manresa and Alberto Amador, turning the evening into a celebration of fashion, music, art and the irresistible, irreverent spirit of Ibiza.
Lío Mykonos
On the other side, Lío Mykonos is getting ready for the perfect closure to the season, with the very last edition of Spectacularrr on 12 September. The show has defined the summer through a bold mix of performance, music, sensuality and provocation.
Alongside the show, Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra’s vision will put the cherry on top. We might wonder what else will stun us – or, more like, who else?
One final show. One final night.
