VANITY TEEN – So similar to Mick Jagger that you were called to play a scene as a young version of him in the “House of Gucci” movie by Ridley Scott. What this experience on a movie set means to you?
Federico Aldave – Sadly this scene was removed, but was an incredible experience for me. Everyone had an incredible energy, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart and Graces Jones, with a totally vintage 70s vibe. We had great expectations for the incredible Al Pacino, Lady Gaga, Adam Driver and Ridley Scott to show up. In fact, Al Pacino was the first to approach and asked us: “Who is playing Mick Jagger?”
As soon as I turned around, we were able to settle down and talk until the scene began. That was the most magical moment of my life. The scene was ultimately removed, but the experience was unforgettable.
VT – You have a kind of rock’n’roll lifestyle, being a DJ as well, between fashion shoots and nights out. In his private life, what kind of person is Federico?
FA – To be honest, many others told me I look like a rock star, but I think I’m always myself in everything I do. I can tell you that like rainy days while playing piano, drink tea and create new music.
VT – Tell us a little bit about your childhood background and what was its impact on your modeling career?
FA – I started as a model just for fun, doing scouting during Lollapalooza festival in Argentina. At the time, I was trying to build a career as an actor because I thought I had a strong connection with a video camera; taking a personality in front of the camera from another perspective without words. But in the end, it turned out that I can be a model as well and I’m happy because this allowed me to appear in incredible commercials worldwide.

VT – When did you leave Argentina and why?
FA – I left Argentina two years ago and I miss it terribly! But I believe that at this point in my life, I cannot be in just one place.
At least once a year, I go back home in Argentina for recharging my energy in hometown.
VT – How did you approach music? Walking though your musical memories related to your childhood in Argentina?
FA – When I was 11 years old, a special person gave me “A Night at the Opera” album by Queen as a gift. I fell in love instantly while I was listening to it, so when I was 15 years old, I was already playing piano in a band with my high school friends called Vieja Vendetta. Later on, I played in a few other bands, but Vieja Vendetta was my first love and its members were my friends and my travel companions.
VT – Share with us a few important songs that reflects your adolescence.
FA – ’39 – Queen – A night of the opera
Killing in the name – Rage against the machine

VT – What is your relationship with cinema and what was your favourite movie as a child?
FA – I know I always look like a happy person, but I really like sad movies, that make you cry a lot. My favorite is “Good will hunting” with Robin Williams and Matt Damon.
VT – When did you decide to become an actor? Is there any you would like to meet personally?
FA – I’d love to meet Jim Carrey because as an actor he has an great ability to join so many different personalities. In the beginning, he was a clown and stand-up comedy actor, after that he grew up a lot.
VT – Can you tell us about your future projects?
FA – I’m really excited for what’s to come.
I’m working on my first EP, which is almost finished and on several different projects, including music events with some friends. Giving birth to a new record label that we are launching this month, also I have other things to come, but for those I am very superstitious and do not want to spoil yet.

VT – A letter to your future self. What would you write?
FA – Always remember to be patient! Because everything will arrive at the right moment with constant actions and dedication.
Life is packed with ups and downs; that is the balance.
VT – But in the end, do you like Rolling Stones?
FA – I was terrified that you would ask me this question. I like the Rolling Stones and the culture they created for such a long time! But to be honest, I’m not an obsessed fan; I prefer more Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Deep Purple. Anyway, me gusta el rock fino, ke decirteh.
