Jean Paul Gaultier @jpgaultierofficial presents its new collection named Les Marins for the Spring 2021 season. Inspired by the sea and the myth of the Sailor, this collection brings back of some of the pieces of the brand’s ready-to-wear collections, with unisex and inclusive approaches, in collaboration with other designers.
This time, Gaultier wanted this collection to be a tribute to the diverse communities that have inspired the House since its creation, and for that he invited five designers and trend-setters to participate in this rebirth of ready-to-wear. Nix Lecourt Mansion, Ottolinger, Palomo Spain, Alan Crocetti and Marvin M’Toumo have been the lucky designers to be invited to take part in this collection, and each of them produced a silhouette or accessory that screams Jean Paul Gaultier.
Alan Crocetti presented some gorgeous and jaw-dropping accessories modeled by Nacho Penin @nachopenin and Luis @luisbrownie. Bandana-shaped rings, necklaces and ear cuffs in silver and gold inspired by the sailor’s knot as well as the iconic cone-shaped rings perfectly showcase the essence of the Sailor and Gaultier’s identity.
