After a long time, Jared Letto showed up in-person to a talk show and the lucky host to have him was James Corden.
In this brief interview, the host and actor talk about Jared’s climbing passion, workaholism, his role in the movie House of Gucci, and the possibility of Leto considering acting in a romance film.
Nowadays the actor dedicates five out of seven days to climbing in a park near his house. Activities outdoors and enjoying natural environments have become one of his priorities, as he explained to Corden, he is trying to find a balance between his work and his free time.
“I actually don’t take a lot of vacations. It’s a new thing for me. I love my work so I love to work through the holidays. But I’ve been practicing taking little time, having more balance. It took two weeks. I haven’t had two weeks since I was a kid.” Jared explained.
For his role as Paolo Gucci, he had to undergo an extreme makeover. Long hours of makeup awaited the metamorphic actor before every shooting. The transformation left him almost unrecognizable, but this is not new for the actor who has interpreted the Joker, John Lennon’s killer, a transgender woman, amongst other characters.
And once again, Leto has been praised for his role. Corden even had to read from his notes the many nominations Jared has been selected for, which include two SAG awards and a critic’s choice award.
“I’m certain you’ll be nominated for an academy award. It’s an outrage if you don’t” Corden added.
At the end of the interview, Jared admitted not wanting to accept a role in a rom-com, but he expressed his interest in acting in a romantic film.
“I would love to do something romantic and funny and you know, we’ll see. Maybe there’s something around the corner. Who knows?” Jared commented.
House of Gucci is now in theaters and will soon be released on digital platforms.
