For a moment there you might think you’re hearing the intro of Whitney Houston’s song “I Have Nothing”, but instead you’ll find Jennifer Lopez staring off the theme song of her new movie with Maluma, Marry Me

Showing off a beautiful and provocative white outfit, J-Lo rubs in our faces that even though the star is 52 years old, she still looks like Jenny from the Block of 2002. And nobody but Lopez could have made someone whose most famous hit is about adultery (of course we are talking about Maluma) sing about love, marriage, and fidelity.

This live performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon explores the orchestral version of the movie’s title song and undoubtedly delivers a more magical, soothing, and romantic sensation than the original one, whose Latin-pop influences make it more fitting for the dance floor. Both singers conquer the stage with great harmonies, clean vocals, and charisma.

The recently released film Marry Me joins the latin american music celebrities for a romantic comedy that also includes the famous actor Owen Wilson. And although J-Lo is no stranger to acting, this is Maluma’s debut in Hollywood.

The roles each singer interprets are not that far away from reality. Both characters are famously recognized music stars who are about to get married in a public concert, but Kat Valdez (J-Lo) finds out Bastian (Maluma) is cheating on her and therefore chooses a random person from the audience to get married to (lucky Owen Wilson!).

Let’s hope the artists share the same chemistry they showed on stage in the big screen. Marry Me is now in theaters.
