Meta aims to use Threads to attract users who have left Twitter due to Musk’s decision.

Meta Rolls Out Threads Worldwide
Meta has officially launched Threads in app stores across over 100 countries and regions globally, positioning it as a “text conversation app,” a social software very similar to Twitter. Meta is attempting to use Threads to attract users who have left Twitter following Musk’s decision.
Instagram and Threads Linked for User Convenience
The accounts on Instagram and Threads are linked, enabling individuals to follow those they are already following on Instagram. With this feature, Meta aims to provide a seamless user experience and leverage existing connections on Instagram to promote the use of Threads.
Threads’ Competition with Twitter
This move puts Meta in direct competition with Twitter. With the recent controversy surrounding Twitter due to Elon Musk’s decisions, Meta hopes that Threads can step in and provide an alternative platform for those disenchanted with Twitter’s current state. The success of this strategy, however, remains to be seen.
