BD Barcelona x Monde Singulier present a collection of Antoni Gaudí’s expressive and fluid design pieces. They linger between the Baroque and the Surreal, and were originally designed for the Casa Calvet (constructed in 1898-1899) and Casa Batlló (designed in 1904).
Both buildings provided a base for Gaudí to artfully compose furniture with elegance and sturdiness. Featuring a range of seats, benches, a coat hanger and a mirror, they explore a synergy between artisanal structure and the natural world.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY GAUDÍ COLLECTION 17
Each piece is an exact reproduction of the original, handcrafted using traditional methods and solid varnished oak. A certificate signed by the director of the Gaudí Cathedra guarantees authenticity. The ergonomic design reflects Gaudí’s focus on comfort, while precise detailing and artisanal execution make
each object a timeless work of design.
The sinuous oak surfaces evoke tree trunks, twisting limbs, and breathing bodies, seamlessly merging aesthetics with functionality and reflecting Gaudí’s
profound connection to nature.
