The first weekend of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2023 in Indio, California featured stunning performances from artists like Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Rosalía. In addition to their hit songs, these artists showcased their distinctive fashion sense at the event. Coachella is famous for generating buzz about fashion, both from attendees and performers, and this year was no exception as the stars on stage did not disappoint fans.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny dominated Coachella 2023 with a viral headlining performance, making history as the first Latin American solo artist and Spanish-language musician to headline the festival. Additionally, he celebrated his Adidas partnership and new sneaker release, the “Wild Moss” Campus colorway. A themed flower truck toured Indio, CA, offering fans a chance to buy one of 50 early-released pairs via QR code. The Spring Campus greenhouse, featuring 50,000 flowers, was launched in collaboration with Adidas, where guests could purchase the sneakers in person or through the Confirmed App. Bad Bunny performed hits like “Me Porto Bonito” and “Moscow Mule” while sporting a custom ERL outfit and athletic sneakers.

Burna Boy
Nigerian artist Burna Boy sported an eye-catching, all-white outfit by Balenciaga for a recent event. The ensemble featured a slightly oversized jacket and matching pants, which he paired with a black Balenciaga belt and boots. Renowned stylist Ronami Ogulu played a key role in helping Burna Boy put together this fashionable appearance.
Blondie
Debbie Harry wore a mirrored-detail poncho and futuristic-style moto pants for a special Coachella performance on Friday, reuniting with her band, Blondie.
Willow Smith Rocks Punk Style at Coachella 2023, Reunites with Brother Jaden
Willow Smith delivered a punk-inspired performance at Coachella 2023, marking her second appearance at the festival. The singer took to the Mojave Tent stage on Sunday night, reuniting with her brother Jaden Smith to perform their 2019 hit “Summertime in Paris.” Willow donned a blue denim bodysuit with a sleeveless, zip-front design, accessorized with a matching denim harness for a layered look. Though her shoes were partially hidden, the “Whip My Hair” singer appeared to wear knee-high, dark leather boots, likely featuring thick platform or lug soles and rounded toes in line with her punk aesthetic.
Rosalia
I was thrilled to witness Rosalía’s captivating performance on Coachella’s main stage. She not only delivered impeccable renditions of her hits like Saoko, La combi Versace, and Bizcochito, but also moved the audience with her two new collaborative tracks with Rauw Alejandro, Beso, and Vampiros.
The chemistry between the two artists was palpable, resonating with concertgoers and garnering reactions on social media. Fans on TikTok expressed their admiration for their love story, with comments ranging from recognizing their deep connection to lighthearted quips about Rosalía and Rauw being “parents.”
Rumors of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s relationship first surfaced in late 2020, and since then, the duo has become one of the most popular celebrity couples. Their combined talents have drawn widespread attention and anticipation from fans who eagerly awaited their collaboration, which finally came to fruition in 2023 at Coachella.
Blackpink
Blackpink’s Coachella performance showcased not only their musical talents but also their fashion prowess. Each member, affiliated with luxury fashion houses, donned outfits blending pop-star glamour with high fashion and emerging designers. Their first ensemble, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, played with the group’s name and featured black and pink outfits. Jisoo and Rosé went for a feminine look, while Lisa and Jennie opted for a rockstar style.
The group’s ensembles also highlighted up-and-coming brands. Jennie wore a pearl-encrusted crop top and tutu by Korean brand Denicheur, while Jisoo sported a red David Koma gown adorned with plastic floral appliqués. For their second outfits, Lisa and Rosé chose a mix of established and new designers, with Lisa in Yueqi Qi and Mugler bodysuits and Rosé in a metallic Paco Rabanne dress, Ellie Mae jacket, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. The final looks featured black silhouettes with unique details by Rui Zhou’s eponymous brand, Rui.
