The fashion house founded in New York in 1941 Coach @coach under the vision of Creative Director Stuart Vevers @stuartvevers presents the winter collection with an experiential runway show in Shanghai alongside a special episode of “Coach TV: Live From Shanghai” broadcasted live to the whole world.
With a more honest approach to seasonality, this new collection for the winter season continues developing the Fall’s season ideas of comfort and softness. To evoke our desire for adventure and the need to spend time outdoors, the brand presents very interesting colorful vintage-inspired designs with retro nylon skiwear pieces combined with dresses and tailoring elements. The intention of the combination of heritage pieces with American pop culture elements is to dress up and stepping out again, in addition to showing the next chapter of Vevers’ vision.
Held at the historic Shanghai Exhibition Center, the collection is expressed in a color palette of softened blacks inspired by love-worn vintage finds and bright, playful colors inspired by sportswear. The set was inspired by American drive-in cinemas and it looks just amazing and really unique.
“Our winter collection is inspired by a sense of adventure and our hopes for tomorrow. Building on and re-representing ideas from Fall, it debuts a more honest approach to seasonality whilst expressing my vision for winter, an ode to the attitude of a new generation in Shanghai. The experience I envisioned for our return to the runway combines all that we loved about live shows in the past with all that we’ve learned in the past year. It brings together our Coach Family around the world and reflects our commitment to imagining differently and constantly evolving.”Creative Director Stuart Vevers
