Usually brands design clothes for reality.
Diesel designs clothes for what reality wishes it could be.
For Pre-Spring 2027, Glenn Martens continues his favorite hobby: breaking perfectly normal garments and rebuilding them into something stranger, sharper and infinitely more desirable. Miniskirts become impossibly short. Denim pretends to be leather. Leather pretends to be denim. Dresses disguise themselves as two garments. Two garments disguise themselves as one.
Nothing is exactly what it seems.
And that is precisely the point.
At Diesel, impossibility isn’t a fantasy. It’s a production method.
A T-shirt appears casually draped across the body, except the drape is permanent. A denim shirt looks like leather. A trench coat begins in one material and ends in another. Jeans arrive already creased by time, molded into shape as if they have lived several lives before reaching your wardrobe.
Reality gets edited.
Then improved.
The collection expands ideas first seen on the runway, translating experimentation into something surprisingly wearable. The trick is that Diesel never treats innovation as a museum piece. Technical fabrics become transparent. Utility denim becomes feather-light. Leather jackets arrive dyed in radioactive shades of red, yellow and green. Hoodies lose their pockets. Polo shirts lose their sense of proportion.
Nothing remains untouched.
The city itself seems to dissolve into the prints, appearing as fragments of speed, movement and overstimulation. Maybe they’re eyes. Maybe they’re cats. Maybe they’re the visual equivalent of checking your phone while crossing the street.
Who knows.
The accessories continue the distortion. The new D-One bag looks as though its handles have escaped and multiplied across the body. Denim climbs onto stilettos. Loafers become unexpectedly seductive. Even eyewear appears to melt around the face through liquid curves and transparent sculptural acetate.
Throughout the collection, one message remains consistent:
Normality is the least interesting material Diesel has ever worked with.
Reality may be unavoidable.
But according to Glenn Martens, it should never be accepted as it is.
