London’s concept store Voyeur Voyeur has joined forces with design studio Paulin, Paulin, Paulin to create an exclusive edition of Pierre Paulin’s iconic Tongue Chair—a sculptural seat that now bridges fashion, architecture, and design in one seamless gesture.

This collaboration emerges at a pivotal moment for Paulin, Paulin, Paulin, following the re-edition of several of Paulin’s most celebrated works, including the Tongue Chair (1967), part of MoMA New York’s permanent collection. Originally conceived for wide distribution, the chair is now reintroduced with an emphasis on accessibility and contemporary relevance.

The exclusive edition is upholstered in Toray’s Ultrasuede® in a deep burgundy, a material already central to Voyeur Voyeur’s identity—from its geometric interiors to staff uniforms. By translating the store’s atmosphere into a collectible design object, the chair becomes more than furniture: it’s a dialogue between space, material, and movement.

At once playful, futuristic, and functional, the Tongue Chair encapsulates Paulin’s radical approach to design: molded foam, tubular metal, and stretch textiles combine to produce forms that feel alive across generations. Here, the contrast between Paulin’s 1960s vision and Voyeur Voyeur’s contemporary, experiential retail space makes perfect sense—proving that great design can transcend time, context, and medium.

This special edition was celebrated in-store on March 19, where it will serve as both a functional seat and a sculptural centerpiece, closing the first chapter of reintroducing Pierre Paulin’s legacy while opening it to new audiences and interpretations.
