Parisian cool just found its new voice. Dan Sablon has been named Creative Director of Zadig&Voltaire, stepping in to steer the Maison into its next chapter under founder Thierry Gillier.
Sablon’s career reads like a map of contemporary culture. From New York stints with Marc Jacobs to collaborations with Carhartt and Fenty x Puma, he has consistently blurred the lines between editorial influence and street-level energy. Formerly Fashion Director at Lui magazine and contributing editor at i-D Magazine, he now shapes cultural conversation as Culture Director-at-Large at Vogue France.
“Zadig&Voltaire has always stood for freedom of spirit, instinct, and a Parisian rock attitude,” says Gillier. “Dan’s modern vision and understanding of our codes make him the right person to lead the Maison today.”
Sablon himself frames the role in equal parts heritage and reinvention:
“Joining Zadig&Voltaire now is an honor. The Maison embodies that effortless Paris attitude — intentional, yet unforced. My goal is to sharpen that energy, building a wardrobe that’s both clear in its identity and alive to culture today.”
Under his guidance, Zadig&Voltaire is poised to mix its signature rock-chic DNA with a contemporary edge, bridging the Maison’s Parisian roots with a global stage. Sablon’s first collection will debut this March at Paris Fashion Week, a moment that promises to rewrite the rules of cool for one of fashion’s most distinctive brands.
