• An All Over Moon dessert plate
• An All Over Moon plate
Founded in 1821 in the town of Gien, in the heart of the Loire Valley, the Faïencerie de Gien is a jewel of French decorative arts, deeply rooted in its region and internationally renowned. It rose to prominence in the 19th century by creating tableware for Europe’s great aristocratic families and continues to offer bespoke services to this day. Its legacy includes emblematic achievements such as the tiles of the Paris Métro and the tableware of the legendary Orient Express. Gien’s two-hundred-year-old savoir-faire and the exceptional quality of its earthenware make it a benchmark in its field. Today, the Faïencerie is celebrated for collections that combine elegance and conviviality, as well as refined, contemporary decorative objects—an invitation to elevate the everyday and embrace a distinctive art de vivre.
For this collaboration, MARINE SERRE fuses GIEN’s heritage with her emblematic crescent moon motif, creating a radical yet refined tableware collection that celebrates savoir-faire, function and symbolism. The capsule includes a dinner plate, a dessert plate, a coffee cup with saucer, and a mug—each one crafted in GIEN’s workshops, using locally sourced materials and timeless methods.
