In this editorial, we delve into the life of a young man from a wealthy family who finds himself trapped in the ennui of privilege. Despite the material abundance surrounding him, he seeks solace in creative expression, often experimenting with eclectic outfits, blending his wardrobe with that of his parents.
Capturing this narrative required a delicate balance of luxury and boredom, a juxtaposition that permeates the visual storytelling. Through each image, we aim to convey the restlessness and yearning for novelty that characterize the protagonist’s lifestyle.
For this shoot, the Canon 5D Mark IV served as the primary camera, providing the versatility and reliability needed to capture the essence of the story. Lens selection varied, with the 50mm lens dominating most shots for its ability to capture the broader context, while the 105mm lens was reserved for intimate close-ups, adding depth and intimacy to select frames.
Artistic influences for this editorial drew from various sources, including cinematic masterpieces like “The Dreamers” by Bernardo Bertolucci, known for its exploration of youthful rebellion and desire. Additionally, pictorial portraits served as inspiration, with an emphasis on utilizing light and shadow to evoke sensuality and intrigue.
