Ryota Katayose Appointed Givenchy’s Brand Ambassador

Following the announcement of K-Pop group Aespa as Givenchy’s (I.G. @givenchyofficial) brand ambassadors, the French luxury fashion house has signed a 1-year contract with multi-talented actor and singer  Ryota Katayose (I.G. @ryota_katayose__official) of Generations from Exile Tribe as one of its latest brand ambassadors.

The arrival of Matthew M. Williams (I.G. @matthewmwilliams) as creative director of the brand shows the global and modern vision he has for one of the most elegant luxury houses, since this is the first time that the brand names a Japanese artist brand ambassador. The creative director commented about the appointment of Katayose as brand ambasador:

“Ryota Katayose is a performer with endless possibilities. Its personality, value, and unique style resonate with Givenchy’s philosophy.  

The Japanese artist commented via an Instagram post about his appointment:

I am very honored to have been chosen as the ambassador of Givenchy in Japan. I know that Givenchy has a long history in the fashion industry. I am very happy that I was chosen at this time when they announced that Matthew M. Williams has become the new Creative Director.
With respect that Givenchy has a long history in making beautiful high-end clothing, I want to do what I can to promote the brand through my position in the entertainment industry of Japan. I am looking forward to seeing how Matthew will incorporate his ideas and design them into Givenchy’s traditional style. Ryota Katayose

Ryota Katayose is one the biggest young Japanese artists of Asia. Since his debut in 2012 as lead vocalist of Generations from Exile Tribe, he has starred on many films and television dramas such as Kizoku Korin: Prince of Legend, My Brother Loves Me Too Much , Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight, and Threads: Our Tapestry of Love. He was one of the winners of “The Asian Stars: Up Next” showcased by the International Film Festival & Awards Macao and Variety in 2019 as one of the most prominent artists to make it big in the entertainment industry.
