It’s pretty safe to say that you can only expect the best from this year’s fall anime season, as the lineup is packed with a number of highly anticipated releases, from entirely new adaptations such as Chainsaw Man to continuations of already-existing anime such as the second half of Spy X Family.
The beginning of October marks the start of the fall anime season, and as the month approaches, why not take a look at some fall releases to be excited for? Here are 5 of them!
My Hero Academia: Season 6
If you haven’t at least heard of this series, you just might be living under a rock! My Hero Academia, the widely popular Shonen anime which follows the premise of a boy fighting to become the world’s superhero, is set to make its return on October 1st.
Multiple trailers of the new season have been released by Toho Animation, all of which preview some intense fight scenes, for the season kicks off an all-out war between the World Heroes Association and the League of Villains.
Spy × Family: Part 2
Spy x Family was arguably the most loved anime adaptation of the year, which comes as no surprise as it maintains a perfect balance between action and comedy. Its temporary end in June had people dying for more. Fortunately, the second half of the season will start rolling out episodes on October 1st.
The hit show is expected to be with us for another 13 episodes, and course, we too are excited to get back to seeing the antics of telepathic 6-year-old Anya Forger every week!
Mob Psycho 100: Season 3
It was announced that Mob Psycho 100 would be returning with yet another spectacular season way back in 2019, and it’s finally almost here! It’s another well-loved action-comedy series, which you should totally check out in case you haven’t already!
The long-awaited third season of the show is set to hit screens on October 5th, and we’ll be sure to enjoy every last bit of it, because it’s going to be the last time that Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama returns to screens. In other words, this season is sadly set to be the show’s last!
Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man’s anime adaptation will premiere on October 11th. A series appropriately titled, Chainsaw Man revolves around a young man who gains the ability to turn parts of his body into chainsaws after fusing with a literal devil. He’s quickly recruited by the Public Safety Devil Hunters and uses his power to kill devils.
Although your typical action anime might have its fair share of blood and gore here and there, Chainsaw Man takes it to a completely different level, and it may even surprise you to learn that it’s a shonen series.
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: Season 3
It was announced by the series’ official Twitter account that the lighthearted isekai would be making a comeback with a third season, which will focus on Iruma competing with his classmates to gather ingredients in a demonic jungle for an upcoming harvest festival.
If you aren’t familiar with the underrated show, we highly suggest that you catch up to it so that you can enjoy the upcoming season with us, starting from October 8th! In short, it’s about a 14-year-old boy who’s sold to a demon by his parents and is forced to navigate his new life in the Netherworld. How much more interesting can a show sound?
