Photographer Lucio Marcellini @lucio_marcellini presents this fashion editorial with the gorgeous model Tom Banks @bankstomm represented by Menace Models @menacemodelsmanagement.
The photographer states that Tom looked like the ideal model for this editorial because he encapsulates his favorite subject matter which is boyhood. The aim was to explore the innocent yet troubled transition from boyhood to manhood.
Boyhood, a very brief age and full of turmoil, beauty, and unaware sensuality was the main topic of this editorial. The inspiration came from the dynamics between artists and photographers such as Corinne Day and Kate Moss and many others whose work explored boyhood and his sensuality, such as Corinne Day, Wolfgang Tillmans, etc.
The inspiration for the color palette came from painters and photographers such as Degas and Roversi. On the day of the shoot, the chemistry, complicity, and understanding between the photographer and Tom were extremely good and it was also a very fun experience as they mention.
The equipment used to create this fabulous editorial was a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and it took place at Sunset Studios in London. The model was wearing a mixture of new and vintage clothing with underwear by Under Armour, Adidas, Nike, and Champion.
