Sotheby’s Gears up to Auction 2Pac’s Engagement Ring

A unique collection in honor of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary.

Reports are buzzing that famed auction house Sotheby’s is setting the stage for a grand auction featuring a unique item from 2Pac’s collection: a gold, ruby, and diamond ring once owned by the late rapper himself.

This is no ordinary ring; 2Pac had it custom-made to commemorate his engagement to Kidada Jones. The design is as distinctive as the rapper himself – a gold ring crowned with a central ruby cabochon, flanked by two pavé cut diamonds. And as if to seal the memory of a special time, “Pac & Dada 1996” is engraved on the back.

According to Sotheby’s, 2Pac wore this self-designed ring to the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, just days before he was tragically shot. He typically wore it on his left ring finger, marking a bond of love.

The ring will go under the hammer as part of a special collection celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. Expected to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000, the auction will officially take place from July 18 to July 25. This rare artifact of hip-hop history is sure to attract bidders worldwide who value not only its material worth but also its deep sentimental and historical significance.
