Sebastian Chalbaud (@sebastianchalbaud) is a 19-years-old guy who has been playing football since he was four years-old. He was born and raised in Venezuela till he moved to the United States when he was six-teen years-old. Sebastian played in Venezuela’s team at the South-American tournament and they were fifth in the competition. After that he moved to the United States and the Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School gave him a sport scholarship.
Sebastian and the Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School’s team were the firth at the national competition and he also received some individual awards as a football player. When he finished high school in 2018, he also was given a sport scholarship by Stetson University in Florida. However, this year he was recruited by High Point University, in North Carolina, where he will finish his university studies.
In a future he would like to be a professional football player in the Major League Soccer when he finishes his university studies. Moreover, he wants to become a model and collaborate with fashion brands as a professional football player. In conclusion, Sebastian Andres is a young guy who believe in his dreams and in himself, things that he considers needed to become someone in life, apart from discipline, passion and persistence in all you do.
Was it difficult for you to adapt to the United States? Adapting to a different country is always challenging, especially when you have to learn a whole different language and interact with people from different cultures. The experience of living in the United States has taught me many valuable lessons, and I believe it is the stepping stone for my future success.
Do you have the support of your circle as a professional football player? Yes, my family and close friends have always supported me with the decisions I make. They know what my goal is in life and I am sure they will always be there for me whenever I need them.
How did you feel when Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School gave you a sport scholarship? When I found out about the scholarship I was very grateful with all the people who helped me get there, I was also proud of myself for building a new life opportunity.
In which team of the Major League Soccer would you like to take part in? Why?
I would like to play for Inter Miami CF. Mainly because I like the city, and also my best friend Christian Makoun plays there, so it would be nice to play with him again.
You said that you would like to work as a model, with which brands would you like to collaborate? I would like to collaborate for Calvin Klein. I have always liked that brand and their products. As well as other big brands like Armani and Dolce & Gabbana.
Have you ever worked as a model? No, I have never worked as a model.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? In ten years I see myself playing for a big club in Europe and also working as a model.
Which advice would you give to young people which are starting to see football as a professional opportunity? Never give up. Believe in what you are doing and always work hard for your dreams.
